How are the payments processed through the Order Portal?
Unlike other transactions on Orderchamp, where we, as the merchant of record, are involved, transactions on your Order Portal are processed directly by you as the seller. This means that you are responsible for defining the payment solutions and guarantees for your customers. In order to process payments, you will need to set up your own Payment Service Provider (PSP) account.
At this time, we support Mollie as a payment provider, and you can easily create a free Mollie account if you don't already have one.
Steps to set up your Mollie PSP account:
-
Create your Mollie account: If you do not yet have a Mollie account, you can easily create one by visiting the Mollie website and signing up. This is a free process, but Mollie may request additional information to fully activate your account.
-
Link your Mollie account to your Order Portal: Once your Mollie account is ready, you can link it to your Order Portal by following these steps:
- Go to your Order Portal in the back office.
- Navigate to settings.
- Under Order Portal settings, click on Manage next to the Payment Service Provider option.
- Follow the prompts to link your Mollie account.
- Select payment methods: After linking your Mollie account, you will need to select the payment methods that you wish to offer your customers. Mollie supports various options, and it is important to choose the ones that best suit your business model and customer base.
Note: All risks associated with the payment methods you choose, as well as the responsibility for payment processing and guarantees, lie with you as the seller.
Important considerations:
- Transaction processing: All payments for transactions done on your Order Portal are processed directly through your Mollie account. Orderchamp is not involved in any way in these transactions.
- Seller responsibility: As the seller, you are responsible for ensuring your chosen payment methods meet your business needs and customer expectations.
- Risks: Be aware of any risks or fees associated with the payment methods you choose, as you will be the sole party accountable for them.
