What are product variants and how do I add them?

A color, size, content, material, fragrance, you name it. Variants are combinations of product options like this. A poster in color and black and white, in sizes S, M and L has 2 x 3 = 6 variants. Variants ensure that your storefront remains clear, the 6 variants fall under the same product.

New products
You can check the box ‘This product has several variants’ under Product details to begin creating your variants. Variants dictate the choice that becomes available in the dropdown when retailers are choosing products in your shop. Please make sure that the values are uniform, using capital letters and spaces when necessary.

You can add as many variations as you want. Ready? All combinations are automatically shown below. The prices can be adjusted if necessary. Orderchamp strongly recommends using different SKU's to avoid confusion. Once the product has been created, you can add an image per variant in the new screen, or adjust the stock.

Existing products
For already created products you can expand existing variants by adding a variant under 'Variants'. To add a new attribute, it is best to make an export.

Changing their order
This can be done on at "Products". Choose the product whose variants you would like to sort. Drag the chosen variant to the right place, which is possible by using the button next to the select box (four small horizontal stripes).
